Email Client Settings CMail provides support for all of the popular Internet clients including
Microsoft Internet Mail, Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora and Pegasus. In all cases,
configuring the client to use CMail is simply a case of inserting the IP address on your
Local Area Network in the POP3 and SMTP Server fields in the client.
Configuring Microsoft Outlook Express
- Load Outlook Express as normal.
- Click Tools and then Accounts
to display your currently defined Internet accounts.
- Click Add followed by Mail
to load the mail connection wizard.
- Enter your name in the Display name
field and press next.
- Enter your email address in the E-mail
address field and press next.
- The incoming mail server is a POP3 server.

- Enter the IP address of the workstation running CMail
Server in the Incoming mail server field - e.g. 192.168.0.1.
- Enter the IP address of the workstation running CMail
Server in the Outgoing mail server field - e.g. 192.168.0.1 and press next.
- Enter your CMail username and password in the Username
and Password fields. Click next.
- Click next on the Friendly
Name menu.
- Select LAN connection on the Choose
Connection Type menu and press next.

- Click Finish to complete
the setup.
Configuring Qualcomm Eudora
- Load Eudora as normal.
- Click on Tools followed by Options.
- Highlight Personal Info in the Category
menu and enter your name in the Real Name field.

- Enter your email address in the Return
Address field.
- Highlight Hosts in the Category
menu and enter the IP address of the workstation running CMail Server into the SMTP
field - e.g. 192.168.0.1.
- Enter your CMail username followed by the '@' sign
and then the IP address of the CMail Server in the POP3 Account field. -
e.g. john@192.168.0.1.

- Press OK to complete the setup.
Microsoft Internet Mail
- Load Internet Mail as normal.
- Click on the Mail menu and select Options.
- From the Options menu, select the Servers tab.

- Enter the IP address of the workstation running CMail
Server in both the SMTP and POP3 server name fields.
- Enter your CMail username and password in the POP3
account fields.
- Click the Connection tab and ensure
that you are connecting through a LAN.
- Press Apply and OK
to complete the setup.
Configuring Microsoft Inbox (Version 4.0)
- Load Inbox as Normal.
- Click on the Tools menu followed by Services.
- If Internet Mail is present in the
list of installed services, highlight Internet Mail and click Properties.
If Internet Mail is not present, click Add, select Internet Mail from the
list of services and press OK to add the Service.

- On the Internet Mail properties menu, enter your name
and email address in the relevant fields.
- Enter the IP address of the CMail Server in the Internet
Mail Server field.
- Enter your CMail username and password in the correct
fields.
- Click the Connection tab and ensure
that you are connection through a LAN.
- Press Apply and OK to
complete the setup.
Configuring Pegasus Mail
- Load Pegasus Mail in the normal way.
- Click on Tools on the menubar and
select Options from the menu.
- Select the Network tab from the
Options menu.

- Enter your email address in the relevant field.
- Enter the IP address of the CMail Server in the POP3
Host field - e.g.192.168.0.1
- Enter your CMail username and password in the
relevant fields.
- Enter the IP address of the CMail Server in the SMTP
Host field - e.g. 192.168.0.1
- Press OK to complete the
configuration.
Configuring Microsoft Outlook 97
- Load Outlook as Normal.
- Click on the Tools menu followed by Services.
- If Internet Mail is present in the
list of installed services, highlight Internet Mail and click Properties.
If Internet Mail is not present, click Add, select Internet Mail from the
list of services and press OK to add the Service.

- On the Internet Mail properties menu, enter your name
and email address in the relevant fields.
- Enter the IP address of the CMail Server in the Internet
Mail Server field.
- Enter your CMail username and password in the correct
fields.
- Click the Connection tab and ensure
that you are connection through a LAN.
- Press Apply and OK to
complete the setup.
