Networking Configuration 95/98 Installing TCP/IP
In order to install TCP/IP,
Windows will need to take core files used in TCP/IP from the Windows distribution media. Note: Make sure
that you have a Windows 95/98 CD-ROM available before proceeding.
- From the Network
menu in Control Panel, click the Add button.
- Highlight Protocol
and click Add.

- On the Select
Network Protocol menu, select Microsoft from the list of
Manufacturers on the left and then TCP/IP from the protocols list.
Complete the operation by clicking the OK button.

- Files relating to TCP/IP
will be copied to the computer from the Windows CD. Once all of the necessary files are
copied, you should restart the machine so that changes can take effect.
