| Virus Control Actions to be taken when a virus is
detected
When you enable virus control on a user profile, you can also specify a number of
actions that CMail can perform when a virus is detected.
| Send Report to Administrator |
Virus Control sends an email
informing the CMail Administrator that a user has received a file that contains a
suspected virus. |
| Try to clean infected file |
Instructs the AV scanner to
attempt to remove the virus and clean the file. If this is not successful, then the file
is deleted. |
| Inform sender of virus |
Virus Control sends an email
informing the sender of the infected message that it contained a virus and therefore may
not have been received correctly. |
| Raise a visual alert |
Virus Control will display an
alert notice on the CMail console screen to inform the Administrator that a suspected
virus has been located. |
